While going across the world. for the search of WMH’s new cover model, we came across the wonderful Jessica Krock. The petite young woman is an absolute gem to talk with and has been pretty straightforward all her life. Managing work-life with her beautiful family has been tough, but well, she has been going forward and making it happen for many days and we hope to see the same in the future. We had a long list of questions for our next cover model. Here’s Jessica’s answer to them.
Question 1. How does it feel to get recognized and published? Or how does it feel to see yourself on the cover?
Seeing myself get published and especially making cover gives me such a strong sense of accomplishment and self-worth. This industry is very competitive, so it’s definitely a huge confidence booster and shows me that I’m good at what I do.
February is the month that represents love and coincidentally enough, is also my boyfriend’s birthday month. Love is the most extraordinary, confusing, and often painful experience that everyone faces in life. To me, love is having such a strong connection to someone that not a thing in this world could change that. Love means putting that person above everything else, caring so deeply about someone that you would quite literally take a bullet for that person, with no hesitation.
This Valentine’s Day is definitely being spent with my partner and my beautiful daughter.
Personally, I prefer someone who is easygoing and doesn’t possess an aggressive personality. Looks aren’t entirely important to me so long as I have a connection with someone and they have a good personality. Charm is definitely a plus.
One thing someone can do to get my attention would be to have an actual conversation with me. I get compliments on my looks far too often and although they are greatly appreciated, these comments or compliments don’t really stand out to me. And as far as compliments do go, you’re more likely to get a response from ‘beautiful or gorgeous’ rather than ‘hot or sexy’. Try complimenting me on my modeling skills instead!
Question 6. What has been your best/worst date?
The best date I have ever been on was a quiet night, which is actually quite normal in my relationship. I just love the intimacy, focusing on nothing but each other and the feelings we have towards one another. The worst date I’ve ever been on was a rushed dinner out that I ended up paying for entirely. I even burnt my mouth while eating due to being rushed so much!
For me, the biggest turn-off in a guy would have to be a rotten personality. The saying ‘nice guys finish last’ is totally false for me. I definitely prefer the sweet and charming guys.
When entering a new modeling gig, I tend to build relationships by connecting with the creative team or my fellow models. Work comes first but small talk never hurts. I’ve actually developed a friendship with one of my photographers with this method.
My biggest pet peeve is when people cut others off when they are talking. Personally, when this happens to me I stop talking. It’s disrespectful. A wise man once told me, that you learn by listening. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions, but if you never listen you will never learn.
The person I look up to most in the modeling industry isn’t a big-time model, but in fact is my agency’s founder, Makayla. My reasoning behind this is that she works very hard for R Models and started this agency out of the kindness of her heart to help other aspiring models. Makayla has been my mentor and has taught me a majority of what I know now. She’s a very hard worker and has been a huge inspiration for me.
A perfect day off for me is definitely spending time with my 3-year-old daughter Annabelle. She’s my world and I love spending time with her more than anything in this world.
I think that I wish someone had told me before I become a model would be that you lose friends. People become jealous and tend to become fake. I’ve gradually lost friends that I’ve had for years since I started modeling. My only true supporters now are my fellow models and a select few family members.
My perception of the modeling industry has definitely changed since I started modeling. I now realize that modeling isn’t as easy as it looks and it actually requires a lot of practice, persistence, and a lot of hard work and time to land well-paying work as a model.
My beauty routine consists of using high-end face cleansers, toners and moisturizers on a daily basis, keeping my skin smooth by using lotion every day, and then choosing what makeup style to go with that day. I have been practicing my makeup for years now and own nothing but high-end makeup so makeup is definitely a huge part of my beauty routine when I go out. Not to mention the huge selection of clothing that I have available to me for any occasion!
My body is definitely a gift from above. I’ve always had a naturally fit/toned body style, but doing simple exercises at home including a bit of yoga helps keep my body at its best.
My go-to outfit on the average day definitely leggings and a simple but classy shirt paired with season-appropriate shoes. Ma majority of my wardrobe is black and white to keep mixing matching a breeze.
Three things on my bucket list would be to travel the world, learn a new language and expand into acting.
It’s my belief that everything happens for a reason. Even if I had the option to go back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Low-key Valentine’s Day plans to me are more intimate. I refer to have an intimate night in than a romantic night out, hands down.

We all see those movies or shows where the guy is trying to get the girl and goes to great lengths to keep her safe and happy. He will do anything for her, even if she never really knows how much he does for her… That’s my favorite representation of love. The fact that he will do anything just to keep her happy truly shows how much he really loves her. A good example is Ross’s love for Rachel in the show Friends.
The biggest misconception people have about my job is that I’m completely confident in myself and the way I look and that I have an I’m better than everyone else’ attitude because I am a model. In all actuality, I’m low-key uber self-conscious about myself. I’m always worried about the way other people view me. As for my attitude toward the world, I definitely have a heart of gold. I view everyone as an equal. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.
The best advice I have ever received is to never give up on yourself.
